Angel Duong is one of most talented people I know. If y’all don’t know her, she’s a cosplayer at conventions, twitch streams all the time, and models and acts on the side. She’s held her own in these communities, but have you ever wondered how did it start off for her? I was given the chance to interview Angel to give y’all a better insight about everything about her and her careers.

Hey Angel! Tell us about yourself. What do you do?
Hello! I am a model, actor, twitch streamer, and also a cosplayer! I’m a huge gamer nerd and have been playing competitive games since I was 8! I started with starcraft, and warcraft 3. Good old days. :’)
I really enjoy a bunch of your cosplays. How do you start getting into cosplay?
Aw thanks!! Aside from being a video game nerd, I am also an otaku. I love anime and reading manga and get heavily invested in these anime characters. I l admire a lot of the characters, that is why I started to cosplay! Dressing up in your favourite character is so much fun.
What is your favorite cosplay that you created? Was it easy to create or a pain?
My most stress inducing cosplay I created has not yet been debuted! It is lunar Jaina from Heroes of the Storm/ Warcraft. It was very stressful getting the staff right, as well as the little details. I am a perfectionist and want to do Blizzcon right this year!!
I know you’ve twitch streamed all sorts of games, like Overwatch and Fortnite. How’s the life of a twitch streamer? How do you go about with what you stream?
I LOVE streaming! Friends have been actually trying to convince me to stream since I was 16, because I was a stereotypical gamer nerd that would always be online gaming when I was growing up. I was too shy, so I did not try streaming until last year! It is so much fun.
I choose games based 1. what I feel like playing and 2. who is online! (solo queuing sucks)
I’ve noticed a bunch of your cosplays are either anime or gaming related. What are your favorite anime series and video games?
I suck at picking favourites, but if I had to pick, my favourite anime currently is My Hero Academia, Jojo, Darling in the FRANXX, and Food wars!
Gaming wise, I have to pick the final fantasy 7 crisis core, and 13.
Since you’ve a twitch streamer, what do you consider as the “ideal gaming food”?
I love eating matcha ice cream while I stream. BEST. FOOD. EVER.
If you were to make your own anime series, FROM SCRATCH, what would it be about? What kind of world would it be set in, what kind of art style, etc..
I really enjoy non fiction stories that have fantasy, magic, or futuristic gundams. If I were to make my own anime series, it would definitely be very inspired by KONOSUBA. I love comedy, that art style, and the ridiculous humor and jokes.
What shows are you currently hooked on right now?
OBSSESSED with my hero academia and Darling in the FRANXX.
