It’s been quite some time that I was able to attend LA Comic Con, but I’m so glad I did this year!
If you didn’t know already, LA Comic Con is a convention that has all sorts of comics, gaming, sci-fi, anime and pop culture. LA Comic Con was at the Los Angeles Convention Center, in Los Angeles, CA from October 4th-6th.
I was only able to attend Sunday, but I got to tell you all about my experience that day.
WEST HALL
Attendee badges were picked up in West Hall, where they had a bunch of different areas: artist alley, freeplay zones, gaming, anime, tabletop gaming, a stream studio, a gaming stage, and even, some horror areas. There was this area in the back called, “Mr. Floats Carnevil of Souls”. It was a scavenger hunt where you had to look for the missing souls and return them to Mr. Floats. A lil’ spooky, but still quite fun!
We got to check out a bunch of different artwork out there from your local artists, amazing crafts from these small businesses, gaming accessories, and oh my glob! There was SO MUCH DICE being sold, it was very tempting… but alas, I did not buy any. Regardless of where you went in this hall, there was tons to check out!
Check out the gallery below to see what you could have saw:
After you get your fill of West Hall, you still got a second hall, South Hall.
SOUTH HALL
South Hall is filled all the major booths. Within this hall, there is artist alley, comic books, publishers, art, photography, toys & collectibles, anime, cosplay, and the main stage. Now this area, there’s so much to look at. There is such a variety of things to check out here, that there will be something for everyone! I remember walking down each aisle finding something that I wanted to buy. It was dangerous, in a good way, of course!
Check out the gallery of what we checked out.
I didn’t get to experience it all, but let me tell you about some of the special things that you could have seen.
SPECIAL GUESTS / PANELS
There were a bunch of guests that you could have seen or possibly met throughout the event. There were meet & greets, autographs, and even, photo-ops with people, such as Carel Struycken from The Addams Family/Men in Black/Gerald’s Game to Daniel Logan from Star Wars.
In addition to that, on the main stage, there were some awesome panels! The Addams Family Reunion was something amazing to see, also The Mandalorian had a panel, and the Rick & Morty Cast Spotlight was great to see the voice actors talk about their experiences from the show.
At the West Hall’s Gaming Stage, there was The MILK Cup LAN Fortnight Championship, IGN Partnership had their own content, and even some the cast and creators of Helluva Boss were there!
Overall, these were something you wouldn’t want to miss!
This year I was only able to go Sunday, but it was still a blast! It was so nice seeing the variety of booths, all the amazing cosplays, and especially, the amount of space! Don’t want to forget the DICE!
Over the years, LA Comic Con keeps getting better and better, and I’m wishing them the best the years to come!
Thank you again LA Comic Con for having me and can’t wait to attend again next year!
