Are you a fan of sports shows like, Friday Night Lights, Blue Mountain State, or Ballers? Well, this is nothing like that, or maybe you can say it is. The anime that I’m recommending to you to binge watch this weekend is Yowamushi Pedal. Is there a specific reason why I’m recommending this show? Maybe… well, I’m not usually a fan of sport anime, to be honest. The reason why I’m suggesting this anime is because it was the sports anime that caught my eye the most. I know that there are other good anime, such as Prince of Tennis and Kuroko’s Basket, but this one stood out to me, since I’ve always been into biking as a kid.
Yowamushi Pedal is about an otaku named, Onoda who enjoys anime so much that he was going to join his school’s anime club. You know, he needed some friends who were into anime as much as he is. Unfortunately, the club got disbanded, which left him trying to revive the club back. As he bikes around, he ran into someone named, Imaizumi, who happened to be practicing for the biking team at Sohoku High School. Amazed by the power of Onoda’s biking prowess, they had an “unofficial” race where Imaizumi tries to out-bike Onoda. What surprises him the most is that Onoda was able to catch up to him during their race, which left him confused. Before you know it, both of them, as well as other freshmen from their school end up trying out for the biking team, and thus begins the journey for Onoda into Sohoku’s Biking Team.
WHERE CAN I WATCH IT?
Yowamushi Pedal can be watched through Crunchyroll.
