Menko CARDS

Menko cards have been around for quite some time during the Edo Period. If you are familiar with the game, POGs (to you 90’s kids) you will understand how this game is played. It’s played the same exact way. Menko cards are small rectangular or round cards that are decorated with different characters from anime and Japanese works. A lot of people put their cards on the line, so it’s a pretty interesting game.

HOW IT’S PLAYED:

1 player would place their card on the floor or table and the other player would slam their card on top of their card in a fashion that will allow the card to flip over. If the 2nd player manages to flip over the card, they get to take their card. If not, the stack will keep growing until someone flips them over. Simple as that.

GALLERY OF MENKO CARDS (and POGS)

This game is pretty easy to learn and nowadays they aren’t that easy to come by. You can find them all over ebay and online stores, but if you happen to have those old pogs that are sitting around in the dust, just pull them out and start a game all over again. THROWBACK.
