Animanga has it’s very first event held this past weekend at the Pomona Fairplex out in Pomona, CA. (August 3rd thru 5th). It was a smaller convention, but for it’s first time, it had a great turn out!
There were multiple vendors, artists, guests, and panelists which made it quite fun! LET’S GIVE YOU A BREAKDOWN!

VENDORS/ARTISTS
All the vendors and artists attending there the usual vendors that you would tend to see at all these local conventions. If you happened to miss something from a previous convention, what was great was that you were able to pick it up here.
What kind of blew my mind though was that there were a lot of artists here that I haven’t seen before. It was a nice change of pace to see great artists come up, as well as new brands showcase their work.
ACTIVITIES
There were a bunch of activities that you can check out. You were able to check out the inflatable maze, wrecker ball game, performances, the Itasha Alliance car area, tons of gaming tournaments, and a retro gaming area.
COSPLAYERS
There were tons of cosplayers around from very popular ones, to some new ones. It was nice that there was space too, so it allowed for them to strut their stuff!
If you guys want to check it out next year, I say it’s definitely a convention worth checking out. This convention has so much potential, so I’m expecting even better things next year! 😀
