ITABAGS, the Big Trend in the Anime Community

Have you ever seen a bunch of otakus out there with these colored bags with tons of anime merch? I’ve been pretty sure you’ve seen there around, but wasn’t sure what it is. These bags are called, Itabags. These are such a huge trend in the anime community, and definitely will stay around! Not sure what they are exactly? Here is a bit of detail to you guys, if you weren’t so sure…

What is a Itabag?

Well, ita translates to painful in Japanese, and if you combine them with bag…it means it’s a painful bag. This bag may be painful for most to see, but it is definitely a true dedication. Itabags are bags that are dedicated to most anime characters, such as your waifu or your husbando. A lot of people tend to create their bags based off of these characters, but is never limited to.  You can always create a bag that shows your dedication to anime, but I feel like nowadays, it doesn’t even have to be anime. You can create an itabag to whatever fandom you geek over!

What does it take to make a itabag?

Like what I mentioned before, itabags are made to dedicate to your favorite characters or fandoms. All you got to do is add a bunch of stuff in your bag that shows to your dedication!

Your bag doesn’t have to be a specific bag. It can be a tote bag, one of those DOPE clear bags, or even a backpack (even though I don’t see that too much).

To start you off, I would suggest getting anime merchandise in the form of buttons, pins, straps, or even plushies! I haven’t seen anyone who would carry their nendoroid or anime figures, but that would be dope! Just pin them up in a fashion that could please you! You can have them stacked up on top of each other and give off that FULL OTAKU LOOK or have them nicely placed around (so it doesn’t look too painful xD).

Here are some examples of some photos you can work off from:

Itabags are definitely here to stay and just shows off to others that, DAMN you love that anime, or there’s only ONE WAIFU for you! I’m going to start creating my own and hopefully, you will too!
